    Thanga Samba Rice is a traditional heritage rice variety from Tamil Nadu. The name "Thanga" means gold, indicating its nutritional richness and golden value. It’s known for its aromatic flavor, hard texture, and numerous health benefits.

    Color: Pale golden or brownish when unpolished

    🧑🍳 Cooking Tips:

    1. Soaking: Soak the rice for 3–4 hours before cooking for better softness.


    2. Washing: Rinse thoroughly 2–3 times to remove dust or starch.


    3. Cooking Ratio:

    1 cup rice : 3 to 3.5 cups water

    Adjust water slightly based on whether it’s polished or unpolished



    4. Pressure Cooking: 4–5 whistles


    5. Open Pot Method: Simmer for 30–35 minutes after boiling


    6. Optional Tip: Add a teaspoon of sesame oil for added flavor and softness
