    Red Rice – Description:
    Red rice is a whole grain rice variety that has a reddish husk or bran layer due to the presence of anthocyanins, a powerful antioxidant. Unlike white rice, red rice is unpolished, retaining its fiber and nutrients.
    There are different types, such as:
    Matta rice (Kerala)
    Kavuni arisi (Tamil Nadu)
    Bhutanese red rice
    Himalayan red rice

    🧺 Red Rice – Care Tips:
    1. Storage:
    Keep in a cool, dry place in an airtight container.
    Avoid exposure to moisture, insects, and sunlight.
    For long-term storage, keep in refrigerator or freezer (especially in humid areas).
    2. Washing & Soaking:
    Wash 2–3 times to remove dust or husk particles.
    Soak for 4–6 hours (or overnight) before cooking to soften and reduce cooking time.
    3. Cooking Tips:
    Water ratio: About 1:2.5 to 1:3 (rice:water) depending on the variety
    Cooking time: 30–45 minutes
    Can be pressure-cooked or boiled, then drained (like pasta)
    4. Shelf Life:
    Uncooked red rice: 6–12 months
    Cooked red rice: Refrigerate and consume within 3–4 days
