Usage Instructions:
Kambu Porridge (Kambu Kanji):
Ingredients: ½ cup Aagaaram Kambu Kurunai, 2 cups water, a pinch of salt, and buttermilk or jaggery (optional).
Method:
Wash the Kambu Kurunai thoroughly.
Boil it in water for 10-15 minutes until it softens.
Add a pinch of salt for taste.
Once cooked, let it cool and add buttermilk or jaggery, depending on your preference.
Serve cold for a refreshing drink in summer or warm for a wholesome meal.
Kambu Upma:
Ingredients: 1 cup Aagaaram Kambu Kurunai, 2.5 cups water, vegetables (optional), mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilies, and ghee or oil.
Method:
Dry roast the Kambu Kurunai until light golden.
Heat oil/ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilies, and sauté.
Add vegetables of choice (optional) and sauté for a few minutes.
Add water, bring it to a boil, and add the roasted Kambu Kurunai.
Cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until water is absorbed and the Kambu softens.
Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
Kambu Idli/Dosa:
You can use Kambu Kurunai as part of the batter for making idlis or dosa
